The hotel has a spectacular view on the Petra valley. The way the hotel fits into the location is well done.
The Outdoor Swimming Pool was not properly clean
The staff did not give all the Same informaton, everybody did tell us something else, about the diner, about the shuttlebus etc. And they could not give us very basic informatieontsluiting about the ferry back to Egypt, not even à telephone number. Prices for drinks were over the top! 7 euro for à glass of beer....
Staff was friendly and made it easy to book our trip to see Petra and also to Wadi Rum on the way back to Eilat.
location, view on the valley, view from my room
the reception is tiny & very bad designed the elevator was not working so we had to use the services elevator
Location ... it has an amazing view
Poor breakfast - Swimming pool was not clean
I must make special mention to my driver from the airport, whom assisted me with all my travel arrangements over my four night stay, Falah I. Fodul, whom was exceptional in his duties to assist, cleanliness of the cab, and ability to get me where I needed to go on time. Please pass on my special mentions of his services.
Too far away from Petra entrance
the view of the valley
Almost everything. It seem like this hotel is not 5 star at all and deffinatelly very different class then Marriott on the Dead Sea. It is sad to have such a big difference in service, facilities, furniture, restaurants, food quailty etc And the price is unbelieavably high.
The view from the hotel is really nice and the Italian restaurant is correct; these are the only two positive things about the hotel.
The hotel is old, badly maintained, the staff look like is without any guidance and act like if they were in a 3* hotel (barman smoking behind the bar!!!). Rooms are old, not very well cleaned and the conditions of toilets are unacceptable. 200 € a night for such an accommodation is really not value for money.
The bed was really comfortable, we slept well after the exertion of seeing Petra.
There was a switch missing from the bedside lamp, so we were unable to turn it on independent of the other lamp. I pointed this out to the staff the next morning, but it was not fixed during our stay (three days) and I expect it won't be fixed. For the price we paid, this is unacceptable.
Friendly staff, spectacular view, spacious parking.
The bathroom finishing with tiles is far from what one expects from a luxury hotel; dull colours, some drilled holes...not like other Marriott hotels in the same country. Overpriced for the quality - one pays a premium to be near Petra.
The view is great especially from the pool side.... the hotel is not walking distance from the petra site but it is worth staying at and enjoying the marvelous views... anyway transportation is available and it is a 10 minute drive only
Quality & Variety of food at the buffet needs improvment
The reception staff were lovely.
The hotel is a bit old and tired in terms of decor and upkeep.
Nice hotel but a little oldfashioned. 10 km far from Petra but with amazing view of the city.
The bathroom was a little old.
We loved the the view of the hills from our window. We had booked a standard room but were upgraded. We enjoyed the breakfast and dinner buffets - really very good quality and the restaurant staff were great. The hotel was not too big and was very peaceful most of the time. It was a great location - away from the main tourist part but only a few minutes drive to reach it.
The water in the pool was very cold! I suppose that the pool is not usable at all outside the summer months.
